Special Education Teacher - Brighton, Colorado

This contract opportunity, located near Brighton, CO, offers a full-time position supporting students at the middle school-level within a resource classroom setting. The assignment spans from August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027, allowing you to immerse yourself in hands-on, meaningful work throughout the entire academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current or pending state licensure for Special Education (CDE license required, must submit active documentation with your resume)
• At least one year of classroom experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, valuing teamwork and adaptable approaches
• Comfortable working onsite at a middle school campus in a resource classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction and individualized support to students in a resource classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure effective inclusion and accommodation strategies
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, progress reports, and documentation to support student growth
• Foster a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy
