Special Education Teacher | Brighton, Colorado

Step into an excellent opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level. This contracted position runs from August 20, 2026, to June 3, 2027, and offers a consistent Tuesday to Friday schedule—giving you long weekends every week. Located onsite, you will work closely with a mild to moderate caseload, making a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure required
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals and individual needs
• Collaborate with general educators, administrators, and families to ensure student success
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Adapt teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Promote social, emotional, and academic growth within a mild to moderate caseload

Role Details:

• Contract position, Tuesday through Friday (no school Mondays)
• 34 hours per week, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Single position, onsite assignment
