Special Education Teacher - Brighton, Colorado

Make a positive impact in the classroom by supporting diverse learners as a Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource caseload in a welcoming, collaborative school environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from January 4, 2027, through May 21, 2027, providing a rewarding, student-focused role in a supportive setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or currently in process (must provide proof with resume)
• Special Education certification or endorsement
• Team-oriented approach with flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced school settings
• Commitment to inclusive, individualized instruction and positive behavior support
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and students

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support for elementary students on a resource caseload, adapting to each learner’s needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with all regulations
• Work in partnership with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress data and required reports
• Provide proactive communication and support to families and caregivers throughout the academic term
