Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
- Any additional certifications required for Special Education in Connecticut
- Background in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to student needs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations and guiding them toward success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily instruction to special education students in an inclusive, onsite setting
- Evaluate student progress and document outcomes according to district and state guidelines
- Modify teaching methods and classroom materials to accommodate learning differences
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of education plans
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
