Special Education Teacher - Bristol, CT

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
• Any additional certifications required for Special Education in Connecticut
• Background in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to student needs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Passion for supporting diverse student populations and guiding them toward success

Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction to special education students in an inclusive, onsite setting
• Evaluate student progress and document outcomes according to district and state guidelines
• Modify teaching methods and classroom materials to accommodate learning differences
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of education plans
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
