Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Proven experience working with students who have diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education best practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
- Experience using technology and educational tools to enhance instruction is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to student abilities
- Monitor student progress and regularly update educational plans
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to integrate special education services
- Maintain accurate records and track student performance in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters academic and personal growth
- Communicate progress to parents and participate in IEP meetings as required
