Special Education Teacher | Bristol, Connecticut

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Proven experience working with students who have diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education best practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
• Experience using technology and educational tools to enhance instruction is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to student abilities
• Monitor student progress and regularly update educational plans
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to integrate special education services
• Maintain accurate records and track student performance in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Provide a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters academic and personal growth
• Communicate progress to parents and participate in IEP meetings as required
