LBS1 Special Education Teacher – Yorkville, IL
A school district in Yorkville, Illinois is seeking an LBS1 Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a middle school co-teaching/resource position with responsibilities divided between providing special education services in general education classrooms and managing a caseload of approximately 12–15 students.

Key responsibilities:
Provide push-in support and specialized instruction within general education classrooms
Co-teach and collaborate with general education teachers to support students with IEPs
Deliver resource instruction, accommodations, modifications, and interventions based on individual student needs
Serve as the case manager for approximately 12–15 middle school students
Develop, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with district and state requirements
Monitor student progress, collect data, and maintain required documentation
Lead and participate in IEP meetings while communicating with families and related-service providers
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, administrators, and other school staff
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
LBS1 endorsement (covering middle schools)
Previous middle school, co-teaching, resource, or case-management experience preferred
Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and classroom-management skills
