Special Education Teacher in Brockton, MA

This is a contract position designed for a talented Special Education Teacher holding a Massachusetts Severe Disabilities License (Moderate/Severe). Desired Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts certification in Severe Disabilities Special Education (Moderate/Severe)
• Previous experience in substantially separate or intensive special education settings strongly preferred
• Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency with adaptive curriculum, differentiated instruction, and behavior management techniques

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with severe disabilities
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each learner’s unique needs
• Collaborate regularly with paraprofessionals, therapists, families, and related service providers
• Foster a positive, structured learning environment, promoting independence and skill growth
• Maintain detailed progress records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
