This is a contract position designed for a talented Special Education Teacher holding a Massachusetts Severe Disabilities License (Moderate/Severe). You’ll work alongside a supportive school team dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences and individualized support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts certification in Severe Disabilities Special Education (Moderate/Severe)
- Previous experience in substantially separate or intensive special education settings strongly preferred
- Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency with adaptive curriculum, differentiated instruction, and behavior management techniques
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with severe disabilities
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each learner’s unique needs
- Collaborate regularly with paraprofessionals, therapists, families, and related service providers
- Foster a positive, structured learning environment, promoting independence and skill growth
- Maintain detailed progress records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
