Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher. Two contract opportunities are available, focusing on 10th grade Inclusion or 12th grade students, for the upcoming academic year. Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities 5-12 license/certification required
  • Professional background as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a secondary educational setting
  • Experience managing caseloads, advising on IEPs, and collaborating with grade-level teams
  • Strong communication skills to chair annual IEP meetings and serve as a liaison between students, families, and staff
  • Ability to build effective, positive relationships with diverse student populations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a grade-level liaison for students on IEPs, providing individualized support and accommodations
  • Take charge of the IEP process: draft, update, and chair annual review meetings for a caseload of 15–20 students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and foster student growth and success
  • Utilize data-driven strategies and ongoing assessments to tailor instruction and track student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all special education guidelines and policies

Job Details:

  • Two full-time positions for the 2026–2027 school year
  • Orientation begins late August, with the official start by August 31, 2026, through June 24, 2027
  • School hours are from 7:05 AM to 1:58 PM, offering a consistent daily schedule
