Special Education Teacher - Bronx, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Current New York State Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
• Experience or strong interest in Early Intervention (ages 2–3) or special education settings
• Collaborative spirit and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, evolving school
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Innovative, patient, and committed to student-centered teaching approaches

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction for preschoolers (2–3 years old) in classrooms of 10 children, each supported by a dedicated 1:1 teacher’s assistant
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals customized to each child’s developmental needs
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Work closely with families, related service providers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive early intervention
• Maintain documentation and participate in progress meetings
• Commit to a 12-month school calendar to support continuity in student learning
