Special Education Teacher in Brooklyn, NY

Located near Brooklyn, NY, you’ll be part of an innovative educational environment focused on fostering each child’s unique developmental needs.

You’ll start part time with a flexible schedule of a few hours a week, transitioning to full-time (up to 40 hours weekly) as the number of students grows and the program expands. In this 12-month position, you will work with children aged 2-3 years in classrooms of 10, each supported by a 1:1 teaching assistant. You’ll be responsible for conducting both group and individualized sessions, ensuring that every child receives tailored instruction and care.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
• Experience or deep interest in serving early intervention, preschool, or special needs populations
• Familiarity with IEP goals, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Collaborative and communicative approach with teaching assistants, related service providers, and families
• Adaptability and eagerness to grow with a developing program

Key Responsibilities:
