This full-time contract role brings the opportunity to support approximately 12 students for the 26/27 school year in a dynamic and rewarding classroom environment. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs
  • Experience working with children ages 3-5 in a school-based or early intervention setting is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with families, related service providers, and fellow educators
  • Creative, flexible, and patient approach to address a variety of student abilities and behavioral needs
  • Dedication to cultivating a positive, student-focused learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans for each student
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction in a supportive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs
  • Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary team members about student goals and achievements
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive
  • Participate in professional development and collaborate on best practices for early childhood education
