This full-time contract role brings the opportunity to support approximately 12 students for the 26/27 school year in a dynamic and rewarding classroom environment. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) experience preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 in a school-based or early intervention setting is highly valued
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with families, related service providers, and fellow educators
- Creative, flexible, and patient approach to address a variety of student abilities and behavioral needs
- Dedication to cultivating a positive, student-focused learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans for each student
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction in a supportive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs
- Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary team members about student goals and achievements
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive
- Participate in professional development and collaborate on best practices for early childhood education
