Special Education Teacher in Broomfield, CO

Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of classroom teaching experience in Special Education
• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or currently in process (must submit proof of license application or activation with your resume)
• Strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility in supporting colleagues and students
• Passion for helping students achieve educational goals through creative pedagogy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction, accommodations, and modifications for students in the resource program
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Work closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families for cohesive student support
• Track student progress using data-driven strategies, adapting lessons to meet varying needs and strengths
• Participate in school meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth
