Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school community near Broomfield, CO. You will enjoy a consistent four-day workweek (Tuesday through Friday) from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing for a healthy work-life balance with long weekends.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) licensure required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children with mild/moderate needs preferred
- Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with fellow staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, assessment, and specialized supports to students on an elementary caseload
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning goals
- Monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary planning
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student success
