This full-time opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting a specialized classroom at a forward-thinking middle school. You’ll work closely with a team of enthusiastic professionals, including paraeducators, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, speech-language, occupational, and physical therapists, and school psychologists and social workers. This collaborative setting empowers you to bring your energy and expertise to every school day, helping each student achieve their fullest potential.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • At least one year of classroom teaching experience, preferably with students requiring special education services.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexibility and compassion.
  • A current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or be actively in the process of obtaining one.
  • A proactive approach to communication, initiative, and organization.
  • A commitment to inclusive and student-centered instruction.
  • Willingness to provide proof of CDE licensure with your application (please note interviews cannot be scheduled without it).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing individualized learning plans and adapting curriculum for a diverse caseload of 10 students.
  • Collaborating with a dynamic support team, including paraeducators and licensed specialists, to ensure every child’s unique needs are met.
  • Fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where all students and peer mentors can thrive.
  • Participating in IEP meetings, maintaining documentation, and working closely with families and staff.
  • Maintaining a positive, professional attitude and contributing to a supportive school culture.
