Special Education Teacher in Broomfield, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education (SPED) licensure required
• Experience supporting students with significant support needs preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students needing significant support
• Create and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust approaches as needed
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment

Position Details:

• Contract assignment anticipated for 12 weeks, January through March (exact end date to be confirmed)
• 34 hours weekly, Tuesday through Friday (no school Mondays)
• Schedule: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
• Caseload: 11 elementary students with significant support needs
• Onsite role within a collaborative elementary school team
