Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility for certification)
• Prior experience working with middle school students and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Knowledge of current special education best practices and ability to adapt instruction for various learning styles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering inclusion, promoting student independence, and encouraging academic success

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support to students with diverse learning needs in a middle school setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Maintain clear documentation of student progress, interventions, and required reporting
• Participate actively in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that supports student self-confidence and growth
