Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Maine 282 certification and CHRC required
- Willingness to complete Safety Care training
- Experience developing and implementing effective positive behavioral support plans
- Familiarity with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions and programs
- Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with families, staff, and service providers
- Passion for fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction, accommodations, and behavioral supports for students with a range of disabilities in K-5
- Write and execute IEP plans, tracking student progress toward academic and developmental goals
- Design and manage positive behavioral intervention programs to support student success and safety
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families for holistic student support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Integrate MTSS and data-driven approaches in instructional and behavioral planning
