Key Qualifications:
- State of Maine Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience working with students in grades 5-8, preferably in behavior or self-contained classrooms
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills

- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to creating inclusive and adaptive learning experiences
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with diverse special needs in a behavior-focused classroom setting
- Design and adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and behavioral goals
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with support staff, general education teachers, and related service providers
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
