Special Education Teacher - Brunswick, Ohio

Seeking a dedicated educator who is passionate about special education to work full-time in a K-1 Autism classroom for an AU or MD special education program. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners near Brunswick, OH. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, within a structured and supportive school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Multiple Disabilities (MD), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Compassionate, patient, and skilled at building rapport with students, families, and colleagues
• Proficient in data collection, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills tailored to diverse needs
• Effective communication and collaboration with paraprofessionals and related service staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction to K-1 students in an Autism (AU) or Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom
• Create and adapt lesson plans to address the unique learning styles and needs of each student
• Implement evidence-based interventions and positive behavioral supports
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP goals
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to maximize student potential
• Engage with families to promote carryover of skills and positive relationships
