Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation

• Flexibility and problem-solving ability in dynamic environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, adapted lessons based on students’ abilities and needs
• Evaluate student progress and revise learning objectives as needed
• Create and maintain detailed educational records and reports
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and external partners
• Support classroom management and positive behavior interventions
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and professional development
