Special Education Teacher - Buda, Texas

You will have the opportunity to work in one of these areas:

• High School Focus Teacher (Inclusive Behavior Program): Provide positive reinforcements and redirection to students who may occasionally require a quiet workspace to decompress.
• Elementary Inclusion/Resource Teacher: Collaboratively engage with general education teachers, delivering accommodations and sometimes presenting modified content in a dedicated special education setting.
• Alternate Curriculum Class Teacher (Lifeskills): Deliver compassionate and responsive instruction to students facing cognitive challenges, tailoring curriculum to support independent living and functional academic skills across elementary and high school ages.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; appropriate certification is required.
• Experience working with students in special education settings strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, differentiated instruction, and behavioral support strategies.
• Adaptable communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Patient, empathetic approach and a true commitment to fostering student growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Create a supportive, structured environment that encourages achievement and independence.
• Foster positive classroom dynamics with clear routines and productive behavior interventions.
• Communicate consistently with staff, specialists, and families regarding progress and needs.
• Assess and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
