Dyslexia Special Education Teacher - Buda, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas Educator License with Special Education and Core/Generalist endorsements
• Experience working with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes
• Familiarity with Reading by Design instructional methods is preferred
• Comfortable supporting a caseload of approximately 25 students who have varying instructional needs (typically EC-6, with the possibility of some Upper School students)
• Commitment to upholding professional dress code standards, promoting equality and community
• Strong collaboration skills for contributing effectively during ARD meetings
• A genuine passion for supporting both Special Education and General Education students, especially those with dyslexia

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver systematic and engaging reading interventions using Reading by Design
• Work closely with both general education and special education students; adapt approaches as needed
• Participate actively in ARD meetings, contributing to individualized education plans
• Communicate with students, families, and colleagues to promote best practices and student success
• Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom atmosphere in line with school policies
