Special Education Teacher in Buda, TX

Step into a rewarding role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year supporting students in a foundational learning/life skills classroom. This contract-based position, conveniently located near Buda, TX, involves guiding EC-6 learners in a supportive setting, fostering growth through positive reinforcement and a thoughtfully designed value system. With a small classroom size—five students, including two requiring more functional support—you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM (37.5 hours per week).

Qualifications/Experience Desired:

• Valid Texas Educator License with Special Education Endorsement.
• Strong background working with elementary-aged children in life skills or functional support settings.
• Experience attending and contributing to Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings required.
• Dedicated to implementing positive reinforcement and earned rewards in the classroom.
• Ability to adhere to professional dress code standards (concealed tattoos, natural hair tones, limited earrings, appropriate work attire).
• Eagerness to participate in SAMA training (Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression) provided in October.
