Special Education Teacher in Buda, TX

Two positions are available:

• Dripping Springs High School – work within an inclusion model, collaborating closely with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classrooms.
• Cypress Springs Elementary – take the lead in a self-contained classroom (STARS program), providing focused instruction and a nurturing environment for students with a range of abilities.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Active Special Education teaching certification (Texas or reciprocal)
• Previous experience in inclusion and/or self-contained special education settings preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEP) and data-driven instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Creative, adaptive, and committed to student-centered learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction aligned to each student’s IEP, adapting teaching strategies as needed
• Facilitate a positive, engaging classroom culture where all students can thrive
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Regularly monitor and document student progress; participate in ARD/IEP meetings
• Foster open communication with families and caregivers to support student success
• Uphold all district, state, and federal special education requirements
