Special Education Teacher | Buena Vista, Georgia

Inspire and support young learners in a rewarding contract opportunity focused on special education. This position centers on guiding middle school students in grades 6–8 within a supportive, self-contained classroom setting, serving a caseload of 10 students. Students have diverse learning needs but are not classified under severe disabilities. The environment encourages individualized attention and creative strategies to help each child succeed.

There may also be an additional opening for an elementary special education inclusion teacher, working collaboratively in K–2 classrooms. This role would serve a caseload of 13 students, supporting their integration and success within the general education setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Georgia teaching certification with the Special Education Adapted Curriculum endorsement
• Experience or passion for working in middle or elementary school settings
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet a range of student abilities
• Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment that promotes growth and self-confidence
• Develop and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with students, families, and faculty
