In this pivotal role, you will:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with significant behavioral challenges
• Develop, implement, and document IEP goals, accommodations, and compliance paperwork
• Utilize behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports to encourage student growth
• Differentiate instruction across multiple academic content areas to meet individualized needs
• Collaborate closely with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff
• Maintain a structured, nurturing, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning
• Monitor student progress and communicate proactively with all stakeholders

To be considered, please demonstrate:

• Valid Georgia certification in Special Education General Curriculum—with certification in all required academic subject areas
• Proficiency in classroom management and knowledge of behavior intervention strategies
• Experience in drafting and implementing IEPs
• Three completed reference checks, including one from a recent supervisor such as a principal, assistant principal, or coordinator

Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior experience in a GNETS setting or alternative education environment
• Familiarity supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
• Training in CPI, de-escalation, or advanced behavior management strategies
