Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction aligned with adapted curriculum standards for students with Autism and cognitive disabilities
- Design, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Manage classroom routines, behavioral support systems, and provide strong classroom leadership
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related services, and families to create holistic support plans
- Collect and analyze student progress data to inform instructional adjustments
- Employ differentiated teaching strategies to address diverse learning and communication needs
- Support students’ social, behavioral, and functional skill development
Qualifications Sought:
- Valid Georgia Special Education Certification
- Demonstrated experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Proficiency in developing and managing IEPs
- Robust behavior intervention and classroom management skills
Preferred Experience:
- Adapted Curriculum certification or relevant experience
- Familiarity with students with significant cognitive disabilities
- Knowledge of ABA principles, structured teaching methods, visual supports, and communication systems
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience with paraprofessionals
