Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Georgia Special Education Certification
- Demonstrated experience with students on the Autism Spectrum
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Effective classroom management and behavior intervention capabilities
Preferred:
- Adapted Curriculum certification or prior experience in this area
- Familiarity with serving students presenting significant cognitive disabilities
- Knowledge of ABA principles, structured teaching techniques, visual supports, and functional communication systems
- Background in supervising paraprofessionals in self-contained classroom settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted curriculum instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Create, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Establish consistent routines and manage behavioral supports within the classroom
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to ensure holistic support
- Track and analyze student growth data to inform instruction
- Promote development in communication, social interactions, behavior, and daily living skills
