Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate
  • Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate and current SPED Endorsement required
  • Prior experience working in special education resource classrooms
  • Comfortable supporting students requiring toileting assistance
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students’ assessed needs
  • Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and needs within the classroom
  • Track and report student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures all students
  • Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate interventions with other professionals
  • Maintain clear communication with families, support staff, and administrators
  • Provide guidance and supervision to paraprofessionals as needed
