Special Education Teacher - Burbank, IL

There are two exciting instructional caseloads open: one working with Kindergarten students and another focused on 1st Grade students. These contract positions offer you the chance to bring your expertise and enthusiasm to a vibrant school community, guiding students as they thrive and achieve meaningful learning goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an elementary setting
• Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and areas of growth
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with general education staff, families, and support teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction for a dedicated caseload of Kindergarten and/or 1st Grade students
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with district and state guidelines
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support each student's unique educational journey
• Utilize differentiated teaching strategies and accommodations to maximize student participation and achievement
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions throughout the school year
