An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated 1:1 support to a student with behavioral needs. This full-time contract role features a collaborative environment where you'll have the added support of a teaching assistant, allowing you to focus on individualized instruction and positive behavioral interventions.

As a key member of the educational team, you'll work closely with students, staff, and families to develop and implement strategies that promote academic growth and social-emotional development. The school is eager to welcome a passionate educator ready to start as soon as possible.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven success working with students with behavioral or emotional challenges
• Experience creating and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
• Effective collaboration with teaching assistants and other support staff
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 instruction and support to a student with behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and intervention strategies
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and related service providers
• Collect data to monitor academic and behavioral progress
• Communicate regularly with families and team members
• Model and promote positive behavior support techniques
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
