Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience teaching special education at the elementary level is preferred, especially with 3rd grade
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Dedication to providing individualized instruction and inclusive education
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning needs within your classroom
- Assess student abilities and collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child
- Work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student growth and success
- Foster a structured, positive, and nurturing classroom environment
