Special Education Teacher | Burnsville, Minnesota

Make a lasting difference for students with diverse needs by serving as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging, supportive school community. This contract opportunity spans several campuses and settings—ranging from autism-specific programs to homebound services—and offers the chance to make meaningful connections with students and families. Positions are full-time, on-site only, and run from now through June 11, 2026.

You can choose from a variety of specialized roles based on your interest and expertise, whether you want to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, or Early Childhood Special Education. Caseloads are manageable and allow you to truly concentrate on quality instructional planning, individualized support, and positive outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is required.
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Autism, DCD, Early Childhood Special Education, or other special needs populations.
• Skill in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

In This Role, You Will:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to the unique needs of your students.
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators to create comprehensive educational plans.
• Maintain timely and accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports.
• Emphasize student growth, safety, and well-being.
• Provide services as needed across different settings, including classroom, itinerant, or homebound environments.
