These positions are all on-site and offer opportunities to engage with a variety of student populations and service models, including Autism-specific classrooms, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, and Homebound services.
Openings include:
- Autism Specialist at RiverEast Elementary/Secondary (multiple roles, Setting 4, caseload of 4-6 students)
- Autism Specialist at Farnsworth Aerospace Lower (Setting 3 ASD/DCD, 6-8 students)
- ECSE Teacher (Itinerant role based at Belvidere Building)
- Special Education Teacher at Global Arts Plus – Lower (Setting 1, 2, caseload of 15-19 students)
- Developmental Cognitive Disabilities Teacher at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper (Setting 3 ASD/DCD, 8-10 students)
- Homebound Special Education Teacher (various locations; reports to RiverEast)
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Proven experience in special education settings; experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, or Homebound instruction preferred
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Demonstrated organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs as required for each student
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP processes
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet diverse student needs
- Ensure compliance with district and state policies
