Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education licensure from the state of Minnesota (or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing IEPs
- Strong classroom management strategies for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills to partner with staff, students, and families
- Experience utilizing differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students, in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Adapt general education lessons and teach specialized content as required to meet students’ unique needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and family members on student progress and accommodations
- Monitor student growth, collect data, and adjust strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic development
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement, independence, and self-advocacy
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation while participating in IEP meetings, staff training, and professional development
