Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education licensure from the state of Minnesota (or eligibility for reciprocity)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong classroom management strategies for diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with staff, students, and families
  • Experience utilizing differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students, in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Adapt general education lessons and teach specialized content as required to meet students’ unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and family members on student progress and accommodations
  • Monitor student growth, collect data, and adjust strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic development
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement, independence, and self-advocacy
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation while participating in IEP meetings, staff training, and professional development
