Special Education Teacher - Burnsville, Minnesota

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) licensure
• OR a General Education PELSB License T2–T4 with relevant special education experience (out-of-field form required)
• Experience supporting elementary students in special education settings
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and positive student outcomes

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct instructional support to elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to facilitate success
• Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation
• Collaborate closely with general educators, fellow special education staff, and parents to maximize student growth
• Create a welcoming, structured classroom environment tailored to individual abilities
