Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Minnesota
- Previous classroom experience working with students with disabilities or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and familiarity with various instructional strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, related service providers, support staff, and families
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track individualized educational plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students’ abilities and learning styles
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
- Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with all regulations and thorough documentation
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders about student progress and strategies for success
