Multiple contract openings are available for the 2026-27 school year across a variety of specialized settings, all starting August 24, 2026, and running until June 11, 2027. Roles are located near Burnsville, MN, with placements offered in developmental cognitive disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism, and specific learning disabilities. Both in-person and select hybrid options are available based on the role and school site.
Desired qualifications:
- Current, active Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience in at least one area: developmental cognitive disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or specific learning disabilities
- Previous experience in public schools preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Candidates with previous district employment must have a positive record without conflicts or adverse separations
What you'll do:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement lesson plans that support the academic, behavioral, and social development of students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and support staff
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences
- Adapt teaching methods or materials to meet students’ diverse needs
