Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement required
- Experience with functional evaluations, IEP writing, and monitoring student progress
- Background supporting students across all K-12 grade levels
- Familiarity with due process documentation and compliance
- Strong collaboration skills for working with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and general education staff
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Availability for full-time, on-site work throughout the 2026–2027 academic year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver itinerant support, conducting consultations with staff on curriculum modifications, classroom accessibility, and the integration of assistive technology
- Manage due process requirements by assessing student needs, authoring IEPs, and ensuring progress tracking is accurate and up to date
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers and classroom teachers, to promote student achievement and participation
- Provide ongoing guidance to staff to create inclusive educational environments
- Champion individualized support across the district
