Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification for Special Education (state-specific licensure)
  • Previous experience working with students with a variety of disabilities
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in developing and maintaining IEPs
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Provide direct instruction in both small group and one-on-one settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to ensure student progress
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to support student learning styles
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, as well as ongoing professional development
