Two full-time resource roles are available: one focused on elementary learners and a second serving upper elementary and some secondary students. Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching license required (T2-T4 ABS, Autism or similar credentials highly valued)
- Strong passion for empowering students with diverse needs
- Previous experience with resource or caseload management preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with families, staff, and support personnel
- Flexibility to adapt instruction and interventions for individual learners
- Commitment to fostering positive, inclusive classroom climates
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support and services within a resource setting to assigned caseload of 20-30 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Engage in regular communication with families regarding student progress and goals
- Attend and participate in professional development, planning, and staff meetings
- Support a smooth start to the academic year, with staff development the weeks of 8/24 and 8/31. The school year begins for students on 9/8.
