Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working with students who have autism and/or intellectual delays preferred
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel
  • Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student-centered teaching

Core Duties:

  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in a middle school setting
  • Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educational staff to implement best practices and achieve student goals
  • Adapt curriculum and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
  • Communicate consistently with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student performance and strategies for success

Work Schedule & Contract Details:

  • Full-time, school-year position
  • Hours: 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday
