Immediate openings for Special Education Teachers with a Moderate license and secondary-level experience are available in Waltham, MA public schools. These full-time, contract positions offer the opportunity to support middle and high school students in a structured educational environment.
Locations and Hours:
- Two Special Education Teacher positions at Waltham High School (grades 9-12). Full-time contract through June 2026, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 2:10 PM.
- One Special Education Teacher position at McDevitt Middle School (grades 6-8). Full-time contract through March 2026, Monday-Friday, 7:50 AM – 2:40 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet individual goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
- Maintain thorough records and comply with school district and state special education requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Moderate Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with secondary school students (grades 6-12).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
