Special Education Teacher in Cambridge, MA

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM–2:30PM

What You’ll Need:

• Valid Massachusetts teaching license/certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities
• Demonstrated school-based experience working with children who have developmental delays or intellectual impairments
• Experience with elementary age caseloads, particularly 2nd and 3rd grade
• Ability to successfully complete required CORI background check and fingerprinting (may be able to use letter of suitability from a previous employer)
• Strong commitment to individualized education and student development
• Comfort with conducting a Zoom-based interview as part of the hiring process

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to meet IEP goals for students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
• Maintain thorough documentation as required by state and school policies
• Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility for all students
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding student progress and needs
