Special Education Teacher - Cambridge, MD

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Special Education License required
• Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong ability to communicate, collaborate, and manage classrooms effectively
• Skilled in tailoring lessons to address wide-ranging learning needs and abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with student-specific goals
• Provide targeted instruction both in inclusive general education classrooms and in small-group or pull-out settings as needed
• Work closely with classroom teachers, service providers, families, and administrative staff to ensure cohesive support
• Track student progress through ongoing assessment, maintaining documentation and actively participating in IEP meetings
• Create an encouraging, positive, and inclusive atmosphere that champions student success and social growth

This position begins August 24, 2026, and concludes June 14, 2027, offering a predictable full-time schedule during the school year (five days per week).
