3rd Grade Elementary Special Education Teacher - Candler, NC

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state teaching license with certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary school students, specifically 2nd and 3rd grades
• Demonstrated skill in implementing adapted curriculum and intensive intervention
• Ability to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment for diverse learners
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to individualized instruction and support plans

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of each student
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to provide consistent and effective support
• Utilize evidence-based strategies for behavior management and academic growth
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Engage in regular communication with families and educational professionals
• Maintain compliant and updated IEP documentation
• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom culture that encourages student achievement

This full-time schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. You’ll have the advantage of a manageable class size and the support of two dedicated teaching assistants, optimizing your impact in the classroom.
