Enjoy a structured 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the daily support of two teaching assistants.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current teaching license with certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching at the elementary level, specifically 2nd or 3rd grade
- Skilled in implementing adapted curriculum and providing intensive interventions
- Ability to manage and differentiate lessons for small groups of students
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with classroom support staff
- Passion for supporting students with unique learning needs and fostering an encouraging atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, adapt, and deliver instructional plans for 2nd and 3rd graders
- Provide intensive intervention strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate daily with two teaching assistants to provide individualized support
- Assess student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust approaches as necessary
