Open assignments address a range of instructional needs, with highest priority for certified candidates in High School English and Biology. Additional opportunities are available for those skilled in resource room support at the middle school level, Intensive Learning Center instruction in elementary grades, plus roles combining inclusion and pullout services, and positions supporting Pre-K students. All positions are on-site, providing the opportunity for meaningful face-to-face engagement with students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico state teaching license in Special Education (required)
- High School certification for English or Biology roles (required for HS assignments)
- Experience delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for supporting diverse learners in inclusive and pullout settings
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in assigned content areas
- Utilize data to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering classroom environment
- Collaborate with families, service providers, and the broader educational team
- Document student progress and maintain required compliance records
