Special Ed Teacher - Cannon Afb, New Mexico

Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be central to creating a positive, structured, and nurturing environment for students with diverse and complex needs. There are multiple positions available, offering the unique chance to work alongside a strong team of professionals.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active or pending New Mexico Special Education Licensure (open to candidates awaiting final approval)
• Experience working with students exhibiting significant behavioral challenges preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction and interventions for students with a range of learning and behavioral needs
• Strong skills in crisis prevention/intervention and positive behavioral supports
• Previous work in a self-contained classroom is a plus
• Team player with outstanding communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored for each student’s needs
• Utilize evidence-based practices for behavioral and academic support
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with related service professionals, paraprofessionals, and families
• Track progress and maintain clear, thorough documentation
• Foster resilience and success for students facing intensive behavioral and learning challenges
