Special Education Teacher - Canton, Michigan

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with diverse needs for the upcoming academic year! This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers the chance to work in a collaborative, student-centered environment near Canton, MI.

In this vital role, you’ll serve one of three open positions: two focus on Elementary ASD–CI classrooms, and one is in a Resource Room setting. Each position offers the opportunity to shape young lives and contribute to a supportive educational community.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education License with CI (Cognitive Impairment) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement
• Prior experience teaching students with ASD or CI is strongly preferred
• Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive education
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, effective instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Support social, emotional, and academic growth for students with unique learning needs
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Adapt curriculum, instruction, and classroom environment as needed
