Desired Qualifications:

• Valid, current Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement (please submit a copy of your certification with your application)
• Proven experience working with middle school students in a resource room or self-contained classroom
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to partner with staff and families
• Ability to adapt lessons and manage classroom behaviors effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a resource room environment
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a safe, positive, and structured learning atmosphere for students requiring specialized support
• Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and provide ongoing updates to families and staff
