Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) certification (preferred: EC-12).
  • Experience or strong interest in serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
  • Ability to adapt instruction and interventions for various student needs, including early elementary to high school classrooms.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school teams.
  • Commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based teaching practices.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and academic support to students identified for special education services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, partnering closely with support staff and families.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom climate that encourages participation and growth for students with varied learning abilities.
  • Utilize a range of resources and instructional methods to accommodate various learning styles and developmental stages.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and district guidelines.
  • Engage in regular communication with colleagues to support collaborative problem-solving and student success.
