Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with an endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder or another area of special education, or willingness to enroll in classes to obtain this endorsement
• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate required
• Proven skills in managing aggressive behaviors, both physically and emotionally, ensuring a safe and respectful classroom
• Ability to handle conflict in a constructive and solution-focused manner
• The Board may consider other suitable alternatives to the above qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, aligning goals with their unique needs and strengths
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and personal growth
• Employ evidence-based strategies to address behavioral and academic challenges
